Five arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder Singh R/o # 21, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 21 Injections of Buprenorphine and Pheniramine Maleate drugs from his possession near Army Ground, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 16-03-2020. A case FIR No. 37, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Delhi and recovered 101 Gram heroin from his possession near Shiv Mandir Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh 16.03.2020. A case FIR No. 41, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Balram R/o Village Katwal, Distt. Jind, Haryana age 26 years and recovered 9 gram heroin/smack from his possession near dividing road Sector-36/42 towards Sec-36 side, Chandigarh 16.03.2020. A case FIR No. 54, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay Singh R/o # 344, Model Town, Sec-23, Jind Road, Kaithal, Haryana age 41 years and recovered 8.58 gram heroin from his possession near back side of Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh 16.03.2020. A case FIR No. 55, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Munish R/o # 237/2, Sector-41/A, Chandigarh age 24 years and recovered 14.08 gram heroin from his possession near dividing road, Sector-40/41, Chandigarh on 16.03.2020. A case FIR No. 93, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Kumar R/o # 63/A, New Darshani Bag, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near main gate, Qilla, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 16-03-2020. Total cash Rs. 3200/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 36, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 46, U/S 341, 427, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Raj Jacob R/o # 1067, Sector-24/B, Chandigarh who alleged that Parmod Rana and 3-4 other persons quarreled with complainant and also hit his car No. CH01BQ1503 with stones and helmet near turn H.No. 1067, Sector-24/B, Chandigarh on 15.03.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Ramesh Kumar R/o # 3389, Sector-15/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away packs of Chocolate, Beedi/ Cigarettes and some cash from Booth No. 317, Patel Market, Sector-15, Chandigarh on 15-03-2020. A case FIR No. 47, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

A girl resident of Sector-14, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s i-phone from Bal Bhawan Park, Sector-23, Chandigarh on 16-03-2020. A case FIR No. 45, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Sector-27, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda City Car No. HR-05A-0001 parked in front of House No 3235, Sector 27-D, Chandigarh on 13-03-2020. A case FIR No. 50, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sanjay Joshi R/o # 155, Shashtri Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Hero Honda CD Deluxe M/Cycle No. CH-04-2247 parked in front of SCO No. 907, NAC, Market, Chandigarh on 16-03-2020. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MJ, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 51, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the statement of Vinayak R/o # 159, Burail, Chandigarh who alleged that lady driver of Activa Scooter No. CH-01BJ-8424 hit to pedestrian person namely Sunil S/o Gian Singh R/o Sun Star Guest House, Village Dariya, Chandigarh Permanent address VPO Tipri Distt. Tihri Gharwal, UK near Sukhna Bridge, Railway light Point, Chandigarh on 16.03.2020. Activa Scooter rider namely Neha R/o # 1130, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh and pedestrian person Sunil both got injured and admitted in hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
