Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran and PS-49, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 15.03.2020. Later they were released on bail.

One arrested for Theft

Rajesh Kumar Das, Security Guard, SCO No. 37, Reliance Jewelers, Mani Majra, Chandigarh alleged that Vijay R/o # 759/9, Thakur Dawara, Mani Majra, Chandigarh who was caught red handed while he was stealing AC Copper Pipe from rear side of said SCO on 15.03.2020. A case FIR No. 35, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

Two arrested for Snatching

Guddu Shah R/o # 1431, Burail, Chandigarh reported that 4 unknown persons forcibly snatched away 3 Mobile Phones, Purse Containing Aadhar Card, D/L, SBI ATM Card and cash Rs. 350/- from complainant and his friend Kamlesh at Village Burail, Chandigarh on 15-03-2020.  A case FIR No. 40, U/S 379/B, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later two persons namely Nitin @ Tira R/o # 1901, Burail, Chandigarh age 19 years & Raja Ram @ Raja R/o # 853, Burail, Chandigarh age 22 years have been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

Assault/Rioting

A case FIR No. 45, U/S 147, 149, 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rana Gurtegh Singh R/o # 250, Sector-11A, Chandigarh who alleged that Harsh @ arsh along with 5-6 other persons attacked on complainant and his friends namely Prince and Abhinav Aggarwal at parking, Hostel No. 1, P.U., Sector-14, Chandigarh on 12.03.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Rajender Kaushik R/o # 1074/1, Sector-44B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs. 35000/- and gold ornaments after breaking kitchen window of his house between 14.03.2020 & 15.03.2020. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
