One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Fariyad R/o # 35, Gali No.4, Ambala, Cantt., HR, and recovered 1.2 Kg Charas from his possession near Tech Mahindra, IT park, Chandigarh on 18.02.2020. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Keshav Ram R/o # 2035, Village Burail, Chandigarh while he was gambling, near Primary School, Burail on 18.02.2020. Total cash Rs. 1680/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 28, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Distt. Una (HP) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 29, U/S 323, 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 55, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Constable Bhim Singh of PS-39, against unknown vehicle who sped away after hit to Bullet Motorcycle No. PB27F-1053, which was driven by Gurdeep Singh R/o Village Sialwa majra, Distt. Mohali near Badheri chowk on 17.02.2020.  Gurdeep Singh injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Sachpreet Singh R/o # 3098, Sector-27, Chandigarh, reported that someone has stole away one laptop and cash Rs.3500/- on 17.02.2020 from his residence. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Manpreet Singh resident of Fatehgarh Sahib,(PB) reported that someone has stole away bycycle from Oorja Dance Academy, Sector-40-B, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 56, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Dinesh Kumar R/o #64A, Kishangarh, Chandigarh reported that someone has stole away his motorcycle No. CH01AM-5194, near Japani Garden parking, Sector-31, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Proclaimed Offender

A case FIR No. 35, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Tarun Kumar resident of Kharar (PB) who was declared Proclaimed Offender on 14.11.2018 and did not appear before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of the proclamation.  Investigation of case is in progress.
