One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 11.02.2020. Later he was released on bail.

Snatching

A lady aged about 77 years resident of Sector-18, Chandigarh reported that an unknown person came near her and snatched her mobile phone and ran away towards Mini power house, Sector-18, Chandigarh, while she was on evening walk in the park, Sector-18, Chandigarh on 11-02-2020. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 379-A, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Pintu, Aman Kumar and Pankaj Kumar all resident of Village Dariya, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Opposite side of Royal Plaza Hotel, Village Dariya, Chandigarh on 11.02.2020. Total cash Rs. 2860/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 31, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-I/Area, Chandigarh. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Balbir Singh resident of Panchkula, Ramandeep resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh and Shiv Kumar resident of Naya Gaon, Mohali, while they were gambling near Shivalik Garden, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 11.02.2020. Total cash Rs. 1130/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 24, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Nitin Kapoor R/o Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Mohali, while he was playing dara Satta on 11.02.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 7925/- from his possession.  In this regard, a case FIR No. 45, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
