One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 05.02.2020. Later he was released on bail.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Tushar R/o # 1000, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh age 19 years and recovered 500gm Ganja from his possession near Govt. Tube Well, Cremation Ground Road Sector-25, Chandigarh on 05.02.2020. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Pardeep Kumar @ Monu R/o # 563, Ph-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh age 22 years and recovered 10 gram heroin/smack from his possession near Govt. Tube Well, Sector 48/A turn, Chandigarh on 05.02.2020. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Gurpreet Singh R/o # 4669/3, Sector-38 (west), Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of illegal country liquor near public toilets Shahpur Colony, Sec-38 West, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 21, U/S 406, 419, 420, 120B IPC & 66D IT Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vijay Kumar Kak R/o # 5768, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person cheated Rs 10 lakh from his account regarding updating Paytm KYC. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Distt. Ropar (PB) alleged that a juvenile boy has taken admission in GMSS School and Hockey Stadium, Sector 42, Chandigarh by submitting fake DOB certificates. In this regard a case complaint has also been submitted to Juvenile Justice Board, Sector 25, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 25, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh after taking legal opinion against the unknown person(s) who made fake/forged D.O.B certificate of juvenile boy for admission in GMSS School and Hockey Stadium, Sector 42, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Abhishek Kanojiya R/o # 66, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Maruti 800 car No. CH03L-5123 parked near his house on 28-01-2020. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

          Sandeep Kumar R/o # 281, Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. CH01BY0552 from parking Sabji Mandi, near Masjid, Ph-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh on 30.01.2020. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

          Balwinder Singh R/o # 4168A, Sector-46D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda City car No. AS01AD-5017 parked near his house on night intervening 04/05-02-2020. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 39, U/S 318 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against unknown person who secretly disposed away dead body of newborn / fetus which found in Sewerage near Community Center Sector 56, Chandigarh on 05.02.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Kanwaljit Singh R/o # 1020, Sector-35B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away jewelry (one ear ring, two ladies ring and one gents ring) from his house by breaking backside door on 04.02.2020. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Robbery

A case FIR No. 38, U/S 392, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shishupal Singh R/o # 22, Dashmesh Nagar, Zirakpur, (PB) who reported that three unknown persons riding Bullet Motor Cycle robbed away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01AH-6386 along with cash Rs. 60,000/- & documents near dividing road, Sector 24/37, near Balmiki Mandir, Chandigarh on 05.02.2020.
