One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 04.02.2020. Later he was released on bail.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Butta Singh R/o # 2993, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh, Amar Singh R/o # 1073, NIC, Mani Mara, Chandigarh and Vikash R/o # 243, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Public Toilet, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 04.02.2020. Total cash Rs. 950/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 20, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Dr. Radha Krishan Dhiman R/o # 1028, Sector-24/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 2 wheels of complainant’s Swift Dzire car No. CH01BD-2062 while parked near his house on the night intervening 03/04-02-2020. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
