Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 02.02.2020. Later they were released on bail.

Accident

A case FIR No. 13, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the statement of Laltu Kumar R/o Village Kodwadih, P.O. Sono, P.S Khairia Kasesar Chuwan, Jamui, Bihar against driver of BMW car No. CH01BN-0044 namely Uday R/o # 461, Sector-44A, Chandigarh who hit to complainant and his cousin Bikku Kumar age 18 years riding cycle near dividing road, Sector-9/10, Chandigarh on 02.02.2020. He got seriously injured and declared brought dead at GH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 22, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the statement of Sumit Chawala R/o # 2355, Sector-23-C, Chandigarh who alleged that Sahil Kumar R/o # 3255/1, Sector-23-C, Chandigarh driving Honda City car No. CH01BE-0603 hit to complainant’s Duster car No. CH01AS-3207 parked near complainant’s residence on 02.02.2020.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 21, U/S 147, 149, 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Divyansh Sharma R/o # 3/22, Hostel No. 04, PU, Sec-14, Chandigarh who alleged that Raman, Harman, Anterpreet, Varinder and others 7/8 unknown persons students of SFI have quarreled and beaten complainant at Reception of Boys Hostel no. 03 on 01.02.2020. Investigation of case is in progress.

Arrest in Robbery

Suraj Pal R/o # 2553, Mauli Jagran Complex Chandigarh alleged that Sanjay @ Bali R/o # 2551, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh beaten threatened complainant and took away cash Rs. 10,000/- on point of sharp edge weapon at complainant’s residence on 02-02-2020. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 452, 394, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-MJ, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of New Chandigarh, Mohali, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away Woofer System, Stepni, goggles from complainant’s car No. HR33B-0300 while parked at parking Nivedita Hostel, PGI, Chandigarh on the night intervening 01/02-02-2020. A case FIR No. 22, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Deepesh K. Dhiman, General Manager, Brew Estate Club, SCO-25, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs. 2,62,000/- & two Lenovo tablets by breaking cash counter locks on 02-02-2020. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 36, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashish Bhardwaj R/o Booth No.07, Sector-38-C, Chandigarh who alleged that girl R/o Sector 56, Chandigarh age 19 years, cheated away Rs.3000/- from complainant through PayTM at his mobile accessories shop on 02.02.2020. Complainant nabbed alleged person with help of police near main road, Sector 38D, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ajay Kumar R/o # 1385, Sector-33C, Chandigarh reported that unknown stole away complainants Apatchi M/Cycle No. CH01BP-9566 parked near Aroma Hotel Sector-22, Chandigarh on 03.01.2020. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
