One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Dinesh Kumar R/o # 101, Village-Mirpur, Mubarakpur, Distt-Mohali (PB) and recovered 46 bottles of country liquor carrying on Splendor Motor Cycle No. HR99T5874 from his possession near Airport Light Point, Chandigarh on 31.01.2020. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Yogender Singh R/o # 95, New Darshani Bagh, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Mahindra Pick-up jeep No. CH01-TB-2826 parked in front of his house on the night intervening 17/18-01-2020. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 659/3, Dera Saab, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda Passion Pro M/Cycle No. CH01-AZ-5052 parked near Somnath Chakki, Dera Saab, Manimajra, Chandigarh on the night intervening 24/25-08-2019. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Suraj Parkash R/o # 2266, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda Activa Scooter No. CH-01BA-8417 parked in front of his house on the night intervening 29/30-01-2020. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Navpreet Kaur R/o # 448, B-Block, Aadarsh Colony, Village-Balongi, Distt-Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stole away 3 ladies bag containing cash Rs 16500/- after breaking window pane of her TATA Indica car No. CH-03Z-7917 while parked at Parking, Community Center, Sector-40, Chandigarh on 31.01.2020. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

P.K Parthasarathy R/o # 1058/1, Sector-40/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s cycle make Montra Fatboy while parked near staircase of his house on 31.01.2020. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

        Karan Sharma R/o # 554, Village-Kajheri, Chandigarh alleged that Gourav, manager of hotel along with 3/4 workers of hotel beaten/threatened complainant in front of J.K Hotel Village-Kajheri, Chandigarh on 11.11.2019. Complainant got injured and was admitted in GH-16 and was later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 22, U/S 325, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Criminal Breach of Trust

A case FIR No. 16, U/S 406 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ankit Gupta R/o # 162, Sector-9 Panchkula (HR) who reported that unknown person contacted him to buy sanitary fitting from his Showroom i.e. Gupta Sanitary ware, Sector 7, Chandigarh. A person namely Gaurav called complainant and told him to come near Gate No. 2, DLF Building, IT Park, Chandigarh for collecting advance payment. A person namely Rohit borrowed complainant’s mobile phone I-PhoneXS max to make a phone call to Gaurav. He went inside the building while talking on phone but he did not return back. Investigation of case is in progress.
