One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Ram Kumar Thapa Chattri R/o # Manhari, Nepal and recovered 3 KG Charas from his possession near slip road, Lake, Sector-42, Chandigarh on 27.01.2020. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Rajesh Kumar R/o # 1011/A, Sector 35, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s bag/ purse containing Mangalsutra, 2 gold chain, 4 pairs of gold ear ring, 4 gold finger rings, silver anklets and  cash RS. 3.50 lac to 4 lacs from his residence on 27.01.2020 by breaking the lock. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
