Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 22.01.2020. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested under Arms Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Ranjit Singh @ Thakur R/o # 52, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh, permanent address Village Bakal, Tehsil Reasi, Distt. Jammu & Kashmir, age 31 years driving Ford Figo car No. HR-03M-9034 and recovered one pistol & magazine with 4 live cartridge from his possession at Naka near Kali Bari Light Point, Chandigarh on 22.01.2020. A case FIR No. 11, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

          Jaskaran Singh R/o # 3158, Sector-15/D, Chandigarh reported that Suraj Bhandari R/o Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB) & one unknown person beaten/threatened complainant near Park View Hotel Chowk, Sector-24, Chandigarh on 09.01.2020. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

A lady resident of EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that his son aged about 17 years went to RC-1 Colony for School on 22.01.2020. A case FIR No. 11, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Dilshad R/o # 166, Village Badheri, Sector 41, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-04A-5161 parked near his residence on intervening night 21/22-01-2020. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
