Two person arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 & 19, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 28.12.2019. Later they were released on bail.

One arrested under NDPS Act

          Chandigarh Police arrested Kamalpreet Singh @ Kali r/o # 341-A, Sector-56, Chandigarh and recovered 20 injections of pheniramine maleate and Buperanorphine drugs from his possession near Dispensary, Sector 56, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 468, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady R/o # 1070/C, Small Falts, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Silver ornaments, 2 mobile phones and some documents from her parental residence # P-626, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 27.12.2019. A case FIR No. 262, U/S 380, 451 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Accused  namely Jitender @ Ajay R/o # B-327, Sunder Nagar, Maulijagran, Chandigarh arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

Insult the modesty of a woman

A case FIR No. 317, U/S 509 IPC & 67 IT Act has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Maulijagran, Chandigarh against a lady resident of Bareli (UP), who told complainant that she will viral the photos of complainant’s sister’s on net, if he did not arrange Rs. 20 lac for trade.Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A girl resident of Sector-29, Chandigarh reported that unknown person, who stole away her activa Scooter No. CH04B-7503 from Palika Bazar, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 25.12.2019. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Parveen R/o # 421, Sector-45, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his Activa No. CH01BZ4621 from infront of Public Library, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 17.12.2019. A case FIR No. 317, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
