One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu Goswami R/o # 81/4, Kajehri, UT, Chandigarh, while he was carrying illegally 10 bottles of country made liquor, near Community Center Sector-52, Chandigarh on 25.12.2019. A case FIR No. 260, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Tarsem Kumar R/o # 34, Ward No.3, Sec-1 near Bhatinda Malote, Muktsar Sahib (PB), near cap complex, Chandigarh to Mullanpur road on 25.12.2019  and recovered 10 Gram Heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 168, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Insult the modesty of a woman

A case FIR No. 302, U/S 509 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh on the complaint of a women resident of Chandigarh against Tejinder Singh resident of Sector-20, Chandigarh, who eve-teased complainant at UT Secretariat, Sector-9,  on 13.12.2019. Accused arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Prevention of Damage to Public property Act

A case FIR No. 267, U/S 353, 34 IPC and PDPP Act 1984 has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI Madan Lal Sharma, Enforcement Wing, MC, Chandigarh against unknown person who broken window pane of his Govt Truck No. CH01GA1858, while removing the illegal rehro/fari at Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 24.12.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 288, U/S 63 Copyright Act 1957 has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sandeep Singh R/o SCO No.44, 1st Floor, Sector-41-D, Chandigarh against Kuldeep Gupta, director of Red chilly food Pvt. Ltd., SCO No. 43, Backsider, Sector-26, Chandigarh for Infringement/ Violation of Copyrights of Phonographic Performance Ltd. (PPL) by communicating the music commercially to the public without obtaining PPL license/ permission. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Harinder Gulati R/o #1, Adarsh Nagar, Model Town, Ambala (HR) reported that unknown person, who stole away his purse containing cash Rs. 60000/- and credit card, SBI ATM, PNB ATM, HDFC ATM and DL from his pocket at Elante mall on 25.12.2019. A case FIR No. 312, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Pooja Garg resident of Govind Vihar, Baltana (PB) and Sonika Chadha resident of # 106, SIGMA City Lohgarh, Zirakpur reported that unknown person, who stole away their mobile phones at Elante Mall on 25.12.2019. A case FIR No. 313, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Sukhdev Singh R/o # 2260, SBI Colony, Sector-42, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole four alloys wheel from his Baleno car No. CH01BY8846 near his residence on the night intervening 24/25-12-2019. A case FIR No. 259, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. MV Theft

Karam Chand R/o # 2315/C, HB Flats, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his bullet motorcycle No. CH01BD-2925, parked near residence. A case FIR No. 164, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
