Single Emergency Number-112 for Police, Medical and Fire Services

In continuation of awareness campaign of Emergency Number-112, Today Sh. Roshan Lal, Superintendent of Police, Communication along with Sh.Kuldip Singh, System Supervisor, ERSS visited at Shri Aurobindo School of Integral Education Sector-27-A, Chandigarh and briefed about 200 students of 6th to 10th standard in the presence of School Head Mistress Mrs. Usha Chadda and their staff members about the newly launched single Emergency Number-112 for Police, Medical and Fire Services.  The students were shown the video of “112 India App” and explained the steps for downloading the App and it’s uses in emergency situation.  They were also informed that while Dialing-112 number, they have to press IVR key-1 to mature 112 call. It was also informed that traditional helpline numbers of Police-100, Ambulance-108 and Fire-101 are still working but popularize the Emergency Number-112 to their friends and family members, which is a common emergency number for all the States/UTs launched by MHA, GOI.  The students were asked to raise the queries to clear the facts and answered accordingly.
