Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajesh Kumar R/o # 351, Village-Burail, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 32 quarters of country made liquor near Market, Village-Burail, Chandigarh on 16.12.2019. A case FIR No. 310, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Kumar R/o # 2597, Sector-25, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 102 quarters of country made liquor near near CNG pump turn, Sector-44C, Chandigarh on 16.12.2019. A case FIR No. 311, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Gurmeet Singh R/o # 513, Sector-15A, (HR) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. PB13-AR-3812 parked near his residence on night intervening 06/07-12-2019. A case FIR No. 241, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Amandeep Singh R/o # 2616/1 Sec-40C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s car No. PB32-W- 2078 along with laptop and purse containing documents and ATM card while parked near his residence on 15-12-2019. A case FIR No. 459, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Natalya Kaushal R/o # 3018 Sector-15D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person committed theft at her house between 14-12-2019 to 16-12-2019. Stolen property yet not estimated by complainant. A case FIR No. 242, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Nilamadhaba Panda R/o # 3DB, Devadeva Tower, Mani Tribhuvan, Nandankanan Road, Bhubaneswar, Orissa reported that unknown stole away laptop from her bag from Volvo Punbus on route from Chandigarh to Delhi on 15.12.2019. A case FIR No. 392, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Pushp Rai R/o Unit No. 225, Second Floor, Elante Mall, Ph-1 Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away gold bangles from his shop i.e. Bluestone Jewelry and lifestyle Pvt. Ltd Elante Mall, Chandigarh on 14.12.2019. A case FIR No. 307, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 390, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepa Chaudhary, Excise & Taxation Department, Sector 17C, Chandigarh against  Abhishek Moudgil R/o Prop. M/s Mahadev Metal, Plot No 14, Village Dariya, Chandigarh who willfully submitted misstatement for obtaining GST registration and during the period of registration transaction of taxable supplies of goods was made for huge amount which was liable to deposit the due tax & penalty of Rs. 4,02,00,136/-. The GSTIN was cancelled vide order dated 25.02.2019. The alleged person intentionally generated invoices of sales and received bogus invoices of purchases from the date of registration i.e. 05.12.2018 to evade the tax. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 391, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepa Chaudhary, Excise & Taxation Department, Sector 17C, Chandigarh against  Rajat Prop. M/s RJ Enterprises Shop No 02 House No 8 Village Makhan Majra, Chandigarh who willfully submitted misstatement for obtaining GST registration and during the period of registration transaction of taxable supplies of goods was made for huge amount which was liable to deposit the due tax & penalty of Rs. 96,27,444/-. The GSTIN was cancelled vide order dated 13.02.2019. The alleged person intentionally generated invoices of sales and received bogus invoices of purchases from the date of registration i.e. 21.09.2018 to evade the tax. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 393, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjeev Madan, Excise & Taxation Department, Sector 17C, Chandigarh who alleged that  Pankaj Gautam R/o # 266, Ph-2, Mohali (PB) # 741B, Joginder Vihar, Ph-2, Mohali (PB) and Rupinder Singh Harika R/o # 110, Teg Colony, Patiala, (PB) had fraudulently received refund of Rs 2,88,61,747 from the Custom Department against the Input tax Credit for which it was not eligible. The E-way bills for the transactions were also generated fraudulently. The taxpayer received the refund fraudulently whereas in the whole chain of supply no one has deposited the due tax in the Government treasury. Investigation of case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 146, U/S 341, 323, 34 has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Suresh Kumar R/o # 4612/A Sec-46D, Chandigarh who alleged that occupant of car No. CH02AA1877 namely Rajesh & Nikhil R/o # 391 Kachi colony Dhanas, Chandigarh quarrelled and beaten complainant at light point, Sector-19/27, Chandigarh on 16.12.2019. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 280, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 452, 506 IPC has been registered in 26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ishwar Chand R/o # 711/30, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh who alleged that Naresh Kumar, Love, Kush, Johny, Jaanu, Manik, 15/20 unknown persons beaten and threatened complainant his brother Rajesh Kumar and other family members at his residence on 15.12.2019. They got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 458, U/S 279, 337 added 304A IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of Rajinder Singh R/o # 82, Village Buterla, Sector-41D, Chandigarh against unknown driver of Truck No. PB10-CU-7283 who was sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. CH04-6114 at Chowk, Sector-55/56/39/40, Chandigarh on 08-12-2019. Activa Scooter driver namely Meena Rajput R/o # 2326B, Sector-42, Chandigarh got injured and was admitted to GH-16, Chandigarh. Later she expired on 16.12.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
