Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Swaraj Kumar R/o # 282, NIC, MM, Chandigarh while playing satta near fish market, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 03.12.2019. Total cash Rs. 11300/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 256, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Mohd. Mustafa @ Bablu R/o # 1451, Village Burail, Chandigarh while playing satta near Govt. School, Burail, Chandigarh on 04.12.2019. Total cash Rs. 3520/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 301, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Four persons arrested for consuming liquor at public places

       Four cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-IT park and PS-39, Chandigarh against four persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 04.12.2019. Later they were released on bail.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 437, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady resident of Sector 40, Chandigarh against unknown motorcyclist who snatched away her gold chain near her residence on 04.12.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Suraj R/o # 1636, Sector-30/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stolen away complainant’s bicycle from infront of SCO No.32, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 27.11.2019. A case FIR No. 144, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
