Five persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place

           The cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03, Maulijagran, 34 & PS-36 Chandigarh against five persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 15.11.2019. Later they were released on bail.

Dowry

          A lady resident of Distt. Hoshiarpur, PB, reported that Raghav Arora and his parents resident of Distt. Hoshiarpur, PB, harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 154, U/S 406, 498-A has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 156, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Varun Gill R/o # 459, IAS Society, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh against Hari Kishan R/o # 399, Phase-3, Mohali, was driving car No. CH01AT-2212 and hit to complainant’s car No. MH-43AN7505 near Togan light point, Chandigarh on 15.11.2019. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

          Jaspal Singh R/o #4111, Sector-46, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away battery from complainant’s car No. CH03D-1270 and also from car No. HP38A-1774, while both the car were parked near complainant’s residence during early morning on 15.11.2019.  A case FIR No. 279, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Eve Teasing

A case FIR No. 280, U/S 354-A IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh against driver of car No. CH01AL2829, who passed obscene signs and vulgar remarks to complainant near Govt. School, Sector 33, Chandigarh, and sped away. Later on accused namely Shiv Singh resident of Sector-41 arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
