Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Four cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17, 49 & PS-39, Chandigarh against four persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at different public places on 07.10.2019. Later all were released on bail.

Theft

A case FIR No. 263, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rajni Thakur R/o Village Simsa, PO-Kanyal, Teh-Manali, Distt. Kullu, HP, who reported that unknown person who stole away complainant’s bag containing cash Rs. 2,50,000/- metal necklace and other documents from his car No. HP660001 parked near parking area of Headmaster Saloon, Sector-8 Market, Chandigarh on 07.10.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 319, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Chirag R/o # 485, Ward No. 24, Saini Public School, Distt. Hisar, HR, reported that unknown person who stole away complainant’s bag containing 4 gold ladies rings, 1 gold gents ring, 2 gold kade, 2 set of earring, mangalsutra from complainant’s car No. HR21H3600 after breaking the glass of car while parked near # 24, Sector-22/A, Chandigarh on 07.10.2019.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 262, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurmeet Singh R/o 1763/A, Sector-43/B, Chandigarh against driver of car No. CH01BQ2735 namely Harpreet Singh R/o Vill Bari Karora, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali, who hit into complainant’s car No. PB65AH7437 near T-point road to Village Kansal (back side PB & HR. Secretariat on 07.10.2019. Accused arrested in this case and released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 178, U/S 324, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vinod Kumar R/o near Balaji Ji Dharm Kanta, Village Makhan Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person beaten and attacked on complainant with sharp weapon near Park, Part-II, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 05.10.2019. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Attempt to murder

A case FIR No. 254, U/S 147, 148, 149, 307, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the statement of Arvind R/o # 242, Village Burail, Chandigarh against Sunny and others, who attacked on a person namely Sanjay with sticks and sharp weapon near Booth No. 253, Furniture Market, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 07.10.2019. Sanjay got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No.268, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shantanu Kumar, Authorized Representative of Pearson VUE, a business division of M/s Pearson India Education Services Pvt. Ltd. corporate office at Plot 1A/1, S.B Towers, ground Floor, Noida, UP who stated that his Company is engaged in business of conducting various high stakes computer-based examinations across the globe like academic admissions, IT, Government and License examination for various clients. Further he alleged that Mandeep Sethi, Test Center Manager at Test center located at Elante Mall, A-401, 4th Floor, Elante Offices Block, Industrial Area, Chandigarh defrauded the company and furtherance of pre-planned conspiracy conducted proxy testing by allowing fake candidates who appeared at test centers by impersonating as original candidates. Investigation of the case is in progress.
