PRESS NOTE

Under the aegis of Haryana State Legal Services Authority, a Special Legal Literacy Camp on the occasion of Navratra Mela at Mata Mansa Devi Temple, Panchkula is being organized by District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula w.e.f 29.09.2019 to 07.10.2019.

Today, a visit was made by Parmod Goyal, Member Secretary, Haryana State Legal Services Authority, Panchkula along with Vivek Goyal, learned Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula.

Students of Legal Literacy Club of Swami Devi Dyal Law College, Barwala and Blue Bird Public School, Sector-16, Panchkula enthusiastically participated in the said camp.

Vivek Goyal, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula informed that during these Navratra Mela special focus is being given to create awareness to the people about the ‘Rights of Senior Citizens’ and Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. A Nukat Nattak was also played by the students of Blue Bird Public School, Sector-16, Panchkula on “Rights of Senior Citizens”.

Parmod Goyal, Hon’ble Member Secretary, Haryana State legal Services Authority, Panchkula appreciated the legal awareness being done by the District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula and the performance of students of Blue Bird Public School, Sector-16, Panchkula.

Vivek Goyal, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula also informed that in collaboration with the Election Department, Panchkula, awareness would be created about right to vote and the use of EVM and VVPAT Machine by live demonstration throughout 9 days campaign.

In the said campaign, Vivek Goyal, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula also informed that visitors were informed about important laws such as Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, Child Marriage Act, Child Labour and laws related to Women and Children etc. Booklets on various important laws prepared by HALSA were also distributed at the legal awareness stall free of cost. Any visitor can get these books free of cost at the legal awareness camp at Mansa Devi and can also get legal advice free of cost from the panel advocate, District Legal Services Authority who attend visitors on all Navaratras day.
