Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi R/o # 149, New Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, while playing satta at back side of Sharma Karyana Store, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 26.09.2019. Total cash Rs. 950/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 215, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 26.09.2019. Later he was released on bail.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Charanjit Singh @ Sahil R/o Mohalla Kayian, Ward No. 38, Gali No. 2, Nawa Sehar (PB) near Railway Fatak, Mani Majra, Chandigarh and recovered 10 gram heroin from his possession on 26.09.2.019. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Pritam Morya R/o # 1135, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh near GRRID Building, Sector-31, Chandigarh and recovered 10 gram heroin from his possession on 26.09.2.019. A case FIR No. 245, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested with fake number plate on M/Cycle

Chandigarh Police arrested Harwinder Singh R/o # 1305/10, Ph-11, Mohali (PB) age 26 years, near Paddy Mandi Chowk while he was using fake Registration No. CH-01AV-5032 on Yamaha M/Cycle on 26.09.2019. In this regard, a case FIR No. 338, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

MV Theft

Sachin R/o # 114, Kulana, Hansi, Hisar (HR) reported that unknown person stole away his Verna car No. HR70C-2813 from backside parking, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 25-09-2019. A case FIR No. 305, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Yogesh Saran R/o # 3198 Sector-44/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his Bullet M/Cycle No. CH-01BR-6013 parked near his house on the night intervening 21/22-09-2019. A case FIR No. 246, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Karandeep Singh R/o # 1135, Sector-36/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his Honda City car No. CH-03W-1358 parked near his residence on the night intervening 21/22-09-2019. A case FIR No. 201, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 16 years has been missing from near her house since 25.09.2019. A case FIR No. 337, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to commit culpable homicide

A case FIR No. 155, U/S 308 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the statement of Kuldeep Singh R/o # 165, Gali No. 8, Shanti Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh who alleged that a person namely Arun R/o Manimajra, Chandigarh beaten/attacked on head of complainant’s brother namely Shiv Parsad near Shivalik Garden, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 27.05.2019. He was got injured and was admitted in Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Chandigarh and he was later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
