Special Drive against obstruction at public way:-
A special checking drive was carried out at different parts of the city to check obstructions at public way. In this regard, yesterday 17.09.2019, Chandigarh police registered total 5 cases in different police stations of city and 5 persons were arrested who were found obstructing public way with rehri /fari. All later bailed out. The details of police Stations in which cases U/S 283 IPC were got registered are: – PS-17=02 cases, PS-Sarangpur=01 case, PS-39=02 cases.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
One arrested for consuming liquor at public place
A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place near Wine Shop, Palsora, Chandigarh on 17.09.2019. Later he was released on bail.
Accident
A case FIR No. 181, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Sandeep Kumar R/o # 3387, Sector 25, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of unknown motor cycle sped away after hitting to pedestrian person namely Akash R/o # 3712 Sector-25, Chandigarh on 17.09.2019. He got injured & admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Pushpinder Pal Singh R/o # 247, Dashmesh Enclave, Zirakpur, (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda Deluxe M/Cycle No. PB30K-5896 parked near Hotel Sunbeam, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 21-08-2019. A case FIR No. 291, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Vinit Sharma R/o # 853, Housing Board Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Hero M/Cycle No. CH-01BG-9966 parked near his house on the night intervening 16/17-09-2019. A case FIR No. 133, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Gurvinder Singh R/o Morni Khu, Sec-68, Kumbda, Mohali, PB, reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. PB65TC-2019 parked near AKSIPS Smart School, Sector-45, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 236, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Shubam Kumar Singh R/o # 455, Sector 38A, Chandigarh, reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01BK-7791 parked near SCO No. 182 Sector 37C, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 313, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Attempt to murder
Vikash R/o # 540, Village-Daria, Chandigarh alleged that a person namely Vipin stabbed complainant near Jeet Road Line, Village Dariya, Chandigarh on 17.09.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 255, U/S 307 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Assault/Culpable Homicide
Sanjay @ Bali R/o # 2551 Mauli Complex, Chandigarh alleged that Hari Om R/o # 2511, Mauli Complex, Shishpal R/o # 2510, Mauli Complex, Pritma, Sunita @ Sheela R/o # 2510 Mauli Complex, Chandigarh, quarreled & beaten complainant’s father namely Khumani at H.No. 2551, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on 17.09.2019. Resultantly, complainant’s father got injured and admitted in Civil Hospital, Panchkula and later expired. A case FIR No. 165, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 304 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Alleged persons arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Robbery
Neeraj R/o # 55, Bhagwanpura, Kishangarh, Chandigarh reported that 3/4 unknown persons attacked on complainant with sharp weapon and sticks near Shastri Nagar Light Point, Chandigarh and robbed away purse containing cash Rs. 1000/-, driving license and Aadhar Card on 17.09.2019. A case FIR No. 208, U/S 394, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Dowry Death
A case FIR No. 239, U/S 304B IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vijender R/o # 6428, Sector-56, Chandigarh who alleged that Gyan Singh, Lallan, Rekha, Dinesh & others all R/o # 1162, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh harassed complainant’s sister namely Pinky to bring more dowry. Due to their harassment her sister expired on 16.09.2019. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
