One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Kishor Kumar R/o # 569/1, Sector-38A, Chandigarh, near Sahpur light point on 13.09.2019 and recovered 24 injections of pheniramine maleate and Buperanorphine of drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against two persons who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place near market, Sector-49, Chandigarh on 13.09.2019. Later both were released on bail.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Uttar Pradesh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 112, U/S 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Distt. Gurdaspur, PB, harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 113, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Protection of Children Act 2015

          A case FIR No. 307 U/s 75, Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act 2015 has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against unknown person on the complaint of Tabshum Khan, District Child Protection Officer, Chandigarh. An E-Mail was received to District Child Protection Officer regarding child labour from a girl child age about 10 years at H. No. 2770, Sector-40-C, Chandigarh. Child was rescued and rehabilitated in Ashiana for girls Sector 15, Chandigarh on 03.09.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 144, U/S 279, 338, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Lakhan Singh r/o # 1284, New Indira colony, MM, Chandigarh against Vijaypal singh R/o # 209, Sector-19-A, Chandigarh driver of Car No.CH01BP3393, who hit to a rehri rikshaw near Hotel Dreamland, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 23.10.2018. Rehri rickshaw puller namely Lakhan Singh and his wife got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Complainant’s wife namely Badami devi died later, during treatment. (This case has been registered on the direction of court)   

Theft

A case FIR No. 229, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mikky R/o # 3360, Sector-32, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stole away side mirrors of his two corolla car No. CH01AA0002, CH03V6458 and some of other luxurious cars. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Chandigarh reported that a person resident of Mohali abducted his daughter age about 19 years from his residence since 07.09.2019. A case FIR No. 145, U/S 366 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A person resident of Chandigarh reported that unknown person abducted his daughter age about 16 years from his residence since 09.09.2019. A case FIR No. 219, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh.  Investigation of the case is in progress
