04 persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out in different parts of the city. Under this drive total 04 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 4 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS=17-01 case, PS-IT park= 02 cases, PS-39=01 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sarvar Khan R/o # 13, Village Maloya, Chandigarh, near dividing road, Sector-39 C/D on 11.09.2019 and recovered 25 injections of pheniramine maleate and 25 injections of Buperanorphine drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 304, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested in Theft case

Sunil Kumar S/o Sh. Kishori Lal Sharma R/o H No-122 A, Sector- 37 A, Chandigarh and presently working as manager mail business unit Chandigarh, GPO Sector-17, Chandigarh reported that Pintoo Tiwari R/o Vill. Mankot. P.O. Jabdah, Distt. Balrampur (UP) stolen 9 bags of postal articles from Post Office, Sector-17 on 10.09.2019. A case FIR No. 279, U/S 380, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Accused Pintoo Tiwari R/o Vill. Mankot. P.O. Jabdah, Distt. Balrampur (UP), has been arrested on 11.09.2019 and stolen property recovered from his possession.

Cheating

Dayalu Beck R/o Chief manager, PNB, Sector-9, Chandigarh alleged that Kusum Lata, employee working as CTO-A in branch had issued ATM card of customer and fraudulently withdrawn Rs.20,000/- by changing mobile number of customer. A case FIR No. 247, U/S 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 380, 201 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Rajan Badhwar R/o Local Head office, Administration Department, SBI, Sector-17, Chandigarh reported that Gyan Parkash, Deputy Manager, Office Administration Deptt, Local Head Office, SBI, Sector 17, Chandigarh while posted as OAD assigned the duty to pay medical bills and during preliminary investigation irregularities in medical bills were found. A case FIR No. 281, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Harbhajan singh R/o # 2806/2, Sector-47, Chandigarh reported that Satinder Pal Singh R/o # 104, village Burial, Chandigarh, who taken Rs. 5 lakh from complainant for providing visa to Canada for complainant and his wife. But he neither provided visa and nor returned the money. A case FIR No. 228, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

Sunny patel R/o # 331/1, Rajiv colony, Sector-17, Panchkula reported that Sunil r/o # 3036, Sector-28, Chandigarh, driver of Auto No.PB65AS0254 hit to cyclist namely Ram Shankar at Sector 8/18 dividing road on 10.09.2019. Resultantly cyclist namely Ram Sahankar got injuries and admitted in PGI. A case FIR No. 248, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

Veerpal R/o # 4123, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh reported that Gajender who beaten/threatened complainant near Gate No.2, Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 11.09.2019. A case FIR No. 218, U/S 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

 Harkirat R/o # 278, Sector-22-A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole his Duster car No.CH01AS-4473 from infront of his residence on 09.09.2019. A case FIR No. 280 U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Surinder Ali R/o # 1208, Sector-40-B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole his Activa Scooter No.CH01AY-3785 from Mandi, Sector-40, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 305 U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
