Four arrested while consuming liquor at public place
Four different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against four person who were consuming liquor at public place on 19.08.2019. Later they were released on bail.
Action against Gambling/Satta
Chandigarh Police arrested Ajit R/o # 460, NIC, Mnaimajra, Chandigarh, while gambling satta near Shiv Mandir, NIC, MM, Chandigarh on 19-08-2019. Total cash Rs. 1120/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 197, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under NDPS Act
Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Anmol R/o # 5625, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh and recovered 700 gram Ganja from his possession near T-point, Auto Stand backside, PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on 19.08.2019. A case FIR No. 138, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Quarrel/Beaten
A case FIR No. 164, U/S 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Krishan R/o # 169, Sector-25-D, Chandigarh alleged that Monu R/o # 1038, Sector-25-D, Chandigarh, who run away after quarrel/beaten complainant’s son at his residence on 17.08.2019. Complainant’s son got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 221, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind.Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ramesh Kumar R/o # 96, Block-D, Colony No. 4, Ind. Area, Chandigarh alleged that Rajesh, Rakesh, Rajiv and others, all were run away after quarrel/beaten complainant and his family member near Colony No.4, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 19.08.2019. Alleged namely Rajesh, Rakesh and Rajiv all R/o # 137, Block-B, colony No. 4, Chandigarh arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 212, U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-32-A, Chandigarh against 3 persons occupants of motorcycle number not known sped away after snatching complainant’s purse containing cash Rs. 4000/- near Bus stop, Sector-32, Chandigarh on 19.08.2019. Ram Kumar R/o # 132/1, Bank Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen Copper AC pipe fittings, one mobile phone, one video camera, and cash Rs. 45000/- after breaking the lock of complainant’s SCO No. 280, 281, 282, Sector-32-A, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 211, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the night intervening 18/19.08.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Prabjot Singh R/o # 3217, Sector-38-D, Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen away his motorcycle No. CH01BC-7921, near Gurudwara Sahib, Sector-22, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 258, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
