One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Manoj R/o # 857, DMC, Sec-38, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 24 bottles of Country made liquor near his residence on 16.08.2019. A case FIR No. 130, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later accused released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Rakesh Kumar R/o # 586, New Indira Colony, MM, Chandigarh, while gambling Satta, near Shiv Mandir, New Indira Colony, MM, Chandigarh on 16-08-2019. Total cash Rs. 3700/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 188, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak R/o # 165, New Indira Colony, MM, Chandigarh, while gambling Satta, near booth market, New Indira Colony, MM, Chandigarh on 16-08-2019. Total cash Rs. 7050/- was recovered from his possession.  In this regard, a case FIR No. 189, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 188, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vijay Kumar R/o # 1309, Sinik vihar, Phase-3, Baltana, PB, alleged that Sanjay and Manjit resident not known beaten/threatened to complainant near Chakki No. 2, SCF No.44, Grain Mkt. Sector-26, Chandigarh on 11.08.2019. Complainant got injured and was admitted to GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 218, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sachin Kumar R/o # 84, Kabari market, Sanjay Colony, Chandigarh alleged that Rohit and Sunny resident not known run away after beaten/threatened to complainant near Public toilet, Sanjay Colony, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 16.08.2019. Complainant got injured and was admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 219, U/S 448 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sukhdeep Kaur R/o # 5839, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh against Pirojsha Godrej and others, Plot No. 70, Phase-1, Ind. Area, and others, who were entered in complainant office Plot No. 70, W2H Godrej Etrnia, Ind. Area, Phase-1, Chandigarh without intimation and made construction in it. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A pedestrian namely Mohan Singh Lodhi R/o # 7, village Bhainsa tibba, Sec-4, MDC, PKL, reported that driver of unknown vehicle, who sped away after hit to complainant, near Vita Booth, IT park. A case FIR No. 190, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-IT park, Chandigarh. Complainant got injured and admitted in Command Hospital, Pkl. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rahul R/o # 1723, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown driver of Car No. CH01AH5743, which sped away after hit to complainant and his two friend namely Gurdeep and Rohan both resident of Sector-52, Chandigarh and complainant’s motorcycle No.CH01AH1723, near Ganada Nala Bridge, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 11.08.2019. A case FIR No. 171, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.  Complainant and his two friends got injured and admitted in PGI. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Bridge Bihari R/o # 3, Govind Nagar, Jhampur, Mohali reported that Abhishek Pathania resident of Village Chherion, Distt. Hamirpur, HP, driver of car No. HP22-C8782, who hit to motorcycle No. PB-29S8518 driven by complainant’s son namely Vishal near Govt. School, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh on 16.08.2019. A case FIR No. 131, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh.  Vishal got injured and admitted in PGI. Alleged arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
