02 persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place under special drive

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out in different parts of the city. Under this drive total 02 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 02 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-IT Park = 01 case and PS-19=01 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak R/o # 3805, DBC, Sec-25, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 24 quarters of Country made liquor near Motor Market, Sector-38-W, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 127, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later accused released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

01 case of Arms Act

A case FIR No. 272, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Rinku R/o # 1789, Sector-52, Chandigarh, who was arrested from Kacha Rasta, T-point, Sector-53, Chandigarh on 11.08.2019 and recovered single barrel gun and one live cartridge from his possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarreled

A case FIR No. 206, U/S 323, 325, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bhim R/o # 805, Village Burail, Chandigarh against Guddu, Sandeep, Pankaj, Chhundan all R/o # 806, Village Burail, Chandigarh, all they beaten to complainant, his brother Harichand and Arjun near his residence. All three were got injured and admitted in GH-16. All accused arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Damage to property

A case FIR No. 224, U/S 336, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh on the complaint of Racchpal Kaur Bains R/o # 27, Sector-3, Chandigarh who alleged that Balraj Singh, Owner of Plot No. 25, Sector-3 and Contractor name and address not confirmed, due to their negligence while carried out their construction work at H. No.25, Sector-03, Chandigarh. The wall of H. No.27, Sector-03, Chandigarh got collapsed and also damaged all kitchen utensils. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Other Theft

Om Parkash R/o #106, Gwala colony, Maloya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs. 50,000/-, mobile phone, gold tikka worth Rs. 15,000/-, one pair ear rings worth Rs. 20,200/- from complainants residence and cash Rs. 3000/- also stolen from Jhuggi No.107 on the night intervening 07/08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 126, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Ashish R/o # 1052/B, Sector-41, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Battery of complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01AG-7296, from near his residence on the night intervening 10/11-08.2019. A case FIR No. 274, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Manoj R/o # 1512/A, Sector-41-B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Battery of complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01BU-3391 and  from an another motorcycle no. CH01BG-8645 near his residence on the night intervening 10/11-08.2019. A case FIR No. 275, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.         

MV Theft

Surpreet Singh Chadha R/o # 1029, Sector-37-B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s I-20 CarNo. HP-33F-0610 near his residence on the night intervening 10/11.08.2019. A case FIR No. 276, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
