1 arrested for drug paddeling

Keeping in view the spurt in incidence of involvement of drug addicts in snatching and vehicle theft cases, senior officers has issued special directions and instructions to curb and detect this crime. Working on the directions of the senior officers, on 02.08.2019, acting on secret information a team of Police Station-34 Chandigarh led by SI Santosh Kumar of Police Post-45 Chandigarh acted promptly under the supervision of Inspector Baldev Kumar, SHO Police Station-34 Chandigarh. The team was on patrolling near Gau Shala Sec 45 D Chandigarh and apprehended one person Shiva Thakur S/o Avtar Singh R/o 1194 Burail Sec 45 Chd while carrying 15 injection pheniramine maleate-10 ML each and 15 injection buprenorphine omviesic 2 ML each without license or permit.

                In this regard, Case FIR No. 198 dated 02.08.2019, U/S 22 NDPS Police Station-34 has been registered against accused. The accused is habitual criminal and previously he was arrested in Case FIR No. 312 Dt.  08.09.18 U/s 22 NDPS Act while carrying 50 injection pheniramine maleate-10 ML each and 50 injection buprenorphine omviesic 2 ML each. The accused was granted bail in this case with directions to surrender before the Illaqua Magistrate but he did not surrendered and started sale/paddling of Narcotics/psychotropic substance.
