One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 18.07.2019. Later he was released on bail.

Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Shankar R/o # 2543, DMC, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 30 quaters of country made liquor near Karan Taxi Stand, Sector- 38 West, Chandigarh on 18.07.2019. A case FIR No. 100, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi R/o # 6402/B, Sector- 56, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 05 halves and 11 qauters of country made liquor near Senior Secondary School, Sector- 56, Chandigarh on 18.07.2019. A case FIR No. 218, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested while attempting theft

A case FIR No. 164, U/S 379, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amit Jain R/o M/s Aone Traders, SCF No. 86, Grain Market, Sector- 26, Chandigarh alleged that a person namely Lallu Verma R/o 3 292, Village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh was caught red handed by watchman while he was stealing complainant’s rehri from near said SCF on 17.07.2019. Lallu Verma has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

 Akash Dube R/o # 5405/1, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away battery from complainant’s pulsar motor cycle No. TS-08FD-8773 and also stolen 05 batteries from other motor cycles parked near complainant’s residence during night intervening 17/18.07.2019. A case FIR No. 113, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh reported that her son age about 14 years has been missing/abducted from his residence since 17.07.2019. A case FIR No. 185, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Harpreet Singh R/o # 4100, Custom Colony, Sector- 37, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01BD-4739 while parked backside of SBI Bank, Sector- 37, Chandigarh on 15.07.2019.
