11 persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place under special drive

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out in different parts of the city. Under this drive total 11 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 11 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS- 03= 01 case, PS-11= 01 case, PS- 17= 01 case, PS-26= 01 case, PS- Manimajra= 02 cases, PS- I.T Park = 01 case, PS- 49= 02 cases, PS- 36= 01 case, PS- 39= 01 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Murder

       A case FIR No. 127, U/S 302, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jatinder Kumar R/o # 1145, Mauli Complex, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh who reported that 02 unknown persons had attacked on complainant’s brother namely Satish Kumar (age- 22 yrs) near park at Masjid wali Gali, Mauli Complex, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 13.07.2019. Satish Kumar had got injuries and later admitted in Govt. Hospital, Sector-6, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana where he was declared brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Dharambir Yadav R/o # 1973, Sector- 7/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01AF-6877 from parking of City Heart Hotel, Sector- 18, Chandigarh in between 11.07.2019 to 12.07.2019. A case FIR No. 94, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rahul Sharma reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor cycle No. PB-07AR-3859 from parking of GH-16, Chandigarh on 11.07.2019. A case FIR No. 217, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 95, U/S 337, 304-A  IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the statement of const. Hansdeep 1040/CP against unknown vehicle who injured to persons namely Santosh Kumar R/o # 1475, Dashmesh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali age 45 years and Ganga Ram R/o # 45, near Khera Mandir, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB) near Sector 25/38 light point, Chandigarh on 13.07.2019. Two vehicles motor cycle No. CH-01AD-4380 and Activa Scooter No. PB-65AK-3115 found on the spot. Injured person Santosh Kumar was declared brought dead at PGI, Chandigarh whereas Ganga Ram declared unfit for statement at GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
