One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Gagandeep @ Gourav R/o # 609, Phase-1, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh from backside BDC light point on 03.07.2019 and recovered 5.3 gram heroin from his possession on 03.07.2019. A case FIR No. 144, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS- 26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three arrested for attempt to Murder

        Banti Kumar R/o # 1410, Mori Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh alleged that Noni R/o # 1130, Govindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh, Mohit R/o # 1069/7, Govindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh and Honey R/o # 1069/8, Govindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh who stabbed to complainant near shop No. 1117, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 03.07.2019. Complainant got injured admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 98, U/S 307, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. All 03 alleged persons have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing 12 boxes of illegal liquor

        Chandigarh Police arrested Amarjit Singh R/o # 41, Sudarshan Park, Distt.- Jalandhar, Punjab while he was illegally possessing 12 boxes of liquor carried in car No. PB-11AD-1456 near Sector 25/28 light point, Chandigarh on 03.07.2019. A case FIR No. 125, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Gurmit Singh R/o # 1887, Village- Burail, Chandigarh while he was gambling near Dev Samaj College new gate, Sector- 45, Chandigarh on 03.07.2019. Total cash Rs. 2,010/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 173, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Jagjeet Singh R//o # 869, H.B Colony, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 7,000/- on 30.06.2019 and 14 kg ghee, 04 boxes of milk, 04 boxes of cold drink and 04 boxes of penny from Vita Booth near gate No. 3, Sector- 38 West  after breaking lock on 03.07.2019. A case FIR No. 161, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Fakru Din R/o # 1487, Guru Nanak Enclave, Indra Gandi Marg, Dehradun, UK reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s wife purse containing cash Rs. 57,000/-, Aadhar Card, pan Card, Voter Card from # 59, Phase-2, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh on 03.07.2019. A case FIR No. 143, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

     Jitender Kumar R/o # 31/B, Sector- 31/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile and cash Rs. 6,000/- from his residence on night intervening 03/04.07.2019. A case FIR No. 157, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

        Rupinder Singh R/o # 30/A, Sector- 11/A, Chandigarh alleged that 04 unknown persons beaten complainant near SCO No. 232-33, Sector- 34, Chandigarh on 27.06.2019. A case FIR No. 171, U/S 323, 325, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 189, U/S 452, 427, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gourav R/o # 546, Sector- 38/A, Chandigarh who alleged that 02-03 unknown persons who try to entered into complainant’s residence and throw stones on him on night intervening 01/02.07.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

Rajesh Kumar R/o # 1252, DMC, Chandigarh reported that her daughter age about 16 years has been missing from near his residence since 02.07.2019. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
