One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 26.06.2019.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Ashish Kumar R/o # 3293/1, Sector- 27/D, Chandigarh from near S.D Public Schhol, Sector- 32, Chandigarh and recovered 05 gram heroin from his possession on 26.06.2019. A case FIR No. 162, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Theft

A case FIR No. 132, U/S 380 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-I.T Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mohhamad Rauf R/o # 2178, New Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh against Ram Kishan @ Muchad R/o # 2164, New Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh who stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from his residence on 26.04.2019. Accused person namely Ram Kishan @ Muchad has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 178, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rohit Arora R/o # 7, Gali No. 3, Gopal Nagar, Majitha Road, Amritsar, Punjab who alleged that 03 unknown persons occupant of bullet motor cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s bag containing cash Rs. 40,000/-, Aadhar Card from near bus stop in front of GH-16, Chandigarh on 26.06.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Surinder Singh R/o # 2096/1, Sector- 45/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 32,000/- (approx), gold & silver jewellery and 02 ladies watches from complainant’s residence after breaking main door lock on 26.06.2019. A case FIR No. 161, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Punjab harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 77, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

        A case FIR No. 96, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the statement of Mohhamad Islam R/o # 2267, Indra Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of skoda rapid car No. HR-03P-7274 namely Manish R/o # 340, Govind Vihar, Baltana, Zirakpur, Punjab who hit to complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01AF-8504 near shop No. 282, Motor Market, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 25.06.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Accused person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sandeep Kumar R/o # 321, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor cycle No. Ch-01AX-6523 from near his residence on night intervening 25/26.06.2019.
