One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 24.06.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against obstructing public way

A case FIR No.94 U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh against one person namely Binda R/o # 1717/B, village- Dhanas, Chandigarh who was arrested, while he was running Rehri/Fari at public place near SCF No. 269, main road motor market, Manimajra and obstructing public way. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sukhpal Singh R/o # 3482, Sector- 37/D, Chandigarh (working as manager) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s cash Rs. 2,37,000/- from SCO No. 215, Sector- 37/D, Chandigarh (More retail limited) after breaking locks and also some cash from SCO No. 168, Sector- 37/C, Chandigarh (Bata Showroom) on night intervening 23/24.06.2019. A case FIR No. 182, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

Raju Chaudhary R/o village- Mitjapur, Distt.- Chapra (Bihar) reported that her daughter age about 15 years have been missing from # 164, Sector- 18, Chandigarh since 23.06.2019. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Vaibhav Sharma R/o # 1698, New Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01AZ-1924 from parking, near gate No. 2, Punjab University, Sector- 14, Chandigarh from 14.06.2019 to 17.06.2019. A case FIR No. 117, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS- 11 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Distt.- Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s activa scooter No. PB-11AU-0495 from Secrecy Branch, Punjab University, Sector- 14, Chandigarh on 21.06.2019. A case FIR No. 118, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS- 11 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
