“Art of Meditation” a brief event conducted at History of Arts Deptt.

Yoga is spiritual development practice(s) to train the body and mind
to self-observe and become aware of their own nature. The purpose of
yoga is to cultivate discernment, awareness, self-regulation and
higher consciousness in the individual.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Department of Art
History and Visual Arts, in collaboration with Panjab University
Alumni Association, celebrated International Yoga Day 2019 at Alumni
House, South Campus, Sector 25, PU, Chandigarh.

Inder  Siddhu – founder of Inlighten Global, graced the evening as the
guest speaker.

The brief, insightful introductory talk on the “Art of Meditation” was
delivered, followed by a meditation session under his guidance.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Tirthankar Bhattacharya: Chairperson
Art History and Visual Arts Department & Prof. Deepti Gupta , Dean
Alumni Relations, PU Chandigarh

The event was well attended by an audience comprising PU faculty,
students and members of the public.
