Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 31.05.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for Theft

Vikram Kumar R/o # 371 Village-Khudda Lahora, Chandigarh reported that unknown boy stolen away two mobile phones of his tenant from his residence on 31-05-2019. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later one boy namely Mohit R/o # 812, Ph-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh age 21 years has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ranbir Singh R/o Village-Baidwan, Distt-Fatehgarh Sahib (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle PB-23M-4870 from near Kiran Cinema, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 19-05-2019. A case FIR No. 147, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Baljinder Kaur R/o Kharar Distt. Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB-27C-5793 from back side parking of Hotel J.W. Marriott Sec-35, Chandigarh on 29.05.2019. A case FIR No. 112, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 160, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sonu R/o # 377, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh who reported that car No. CH-01BH-4961 driven by his neighbor Rocky R/o Ram Darbar had hit to complainant’s niece Tanya, Age 9 years (pedestrian) near Market, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh on 06.01.2019. She was injured and got treatment from PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Dr. Jyoti Singh R/o # 708/A Sec-33/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown boy stolen away her mobile phone from Regional Institute of English, Sector-32, Chandigarh on 08-05-2019. A case FIR No. 122, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 40, Chandigarh reported that unknown person occupant of Motor Cycle sped away after snatched her gold chain near H.No. 3104, Sector 40D, Chandigarh on 31.05.2019. A case FIR No. 150, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
