One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested near DT Mall, IT Park, Chandigarh while consuming liquor at public place on 10-05-2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Hallo Majra, Chandigarh who was arrested near Kabari Market, Hallomajra, Chandigarh while possessing 20 quarters of country liquor. A case FIR No. 146, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later she was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Yogesh R/o Village-Nirthan, Distt- Sonipat (HR) Chandigarh near Govt. School Sec-36/D, Chandigarh and recovered 10 gram heroin from his possession on 10.05.2019. A case FIR No. 102, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/quarrel

A case FIR No. 65, U/S 324, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jagjit Singh @ Gora R/o # 295, Samadhi Gate Mani Majra, Chandigarh who alleged that Mohamad Kasim R/o # 431, Dera Sahib Gurudwara, Manimajra, Chandigarh and others beaten & threatened and attacked on complainant with sharp weapon near Nirmal Dera Gurudwara, Samadhi Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 09.05.2019. Complainant, his friends Devender & Sandeep got injured and admitted in Civil Hospital MM, Chandigarh, where Devender & Sandeep referred to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 129, U/S 325 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady who alleged that her husband namely Gulshan Bajaj R/o # 6447, Sec-56, Chandigarh quarreled and beaten complainant at residence on 25-04-2019. Complainant got injured and got treatment from GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to commit culpable homicide

A case FIR No. 82, U/S 308, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh who alleged that Pankaj @ Babbu beaten & stabbed complainant’s son Bittu near his residence on 10-05-2019. He got injured and admitted in Civil Hospital MM, Chandigarh and later referred to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Pankaj @ Babbu R/o # 3860, Mouli Complex, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Umesh Rai R/o # 406, Block-F, Colony No. 4, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Mahindra Pick up No. CH-03P-5535 parked near CITCO Dhaba, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 28-03-2019. A case FIR No. 115, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.                                                                                                                                           

Theft

Sunil R/o # 847, Rajiv Colony, Sector-17 Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s E-Rickshaw parked near Fish Market, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on the night intervening 9/10-05-2019. A case FIR No. 83, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh, reported that her son age about 14½ years has been missing from near his residence since 09.05.2019. A case FIR No. 116, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
