Four persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 04 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-PS-17= 2 cases, PS-IT Park= 02 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

MV Theft

          Arun Kumar R/o # 60/1, B-Block, Gulmohar Trades, Dhakoli, Zirakpur, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s car No. CH-04E-1850 while parked near Haryana Hotel, Sector- 17, Chandigarh on 03.05.2019. A case FIR No. 121, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Ranbir Singh R/o Flat No. 79/A, Akansha Galaxy Apartment, Rajpat Nagar, Village- Bishanpur, Zirakpur, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Jupiter Scooter No. PB-70E-6115 from Plot No. 28, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh on 27.04.2019. A case FIR No. 113, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of village- Kishangarh, Chandigarh reported that his daughters age about 17 years and 18 years have been missing from his residence on 02.05.2019. A case FIR No. 94, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS- IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Theft

Bansi lal R/o # 25, Old Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 12 batteries from Complainant’s and other 02 persons E-Rickshaw while parked near his residence on the night intervening 14/15-04-2019. A case FIR No. 95, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Ram Babu Kumar R/o # 2435, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 2,000/-, 30 cigarette cases, 05 bottles sodha, 01 tray eggs, some snacks from Ahata near wine shop, Vikas Nagar, Village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the night intervening 02/03-05-2019. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mohali (PB), Jagdish Singh Chahal R/o Vill. Karyal Distt. Moga (PB), Ranjeet Singh R/o Gobind Nagar Malerkotla, Distt. Sangrur, (PB), Jaswinder Singh R/o Navi Abahi Banur, Distt. Patiala (PB), Rakesh Kumar R/o Vill. Dadu Majra, Chd., Gurpreet Singh R/o Vill. Dadiana, Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib (PB), Madan Lal R/o # 4196, Maloya Colony, Chd, Chandan Singh R/o # 763, Sec-16/D Chd, Ranjit Mishra C/o R/o Govt. High School Sec 53 Chd Sec 16 Chd they attacked on complainant and deterred him from discharge his duty at ISBT-43, Chandigarh on 03.05.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

          A case Fir No. 104 U/s 420, 120-B IPC has been registered on the complaint of Subhash Chaudhary R/o # 3340, 2^nd floor, Sector- 45, Chandigarh who alleged that Jagdish Singh and Ravi Bajwa both R/o # 3374, Sector- 32/D, Chandigarh and others cheated complainant Rs. 89,45,680/- in between period from year 2011-12 to 2015-16 for giving his money on loan in market to different individuals and business concerns and assured him to give huge amount of interest. When complainant asked them to return his money they refused to return the same. Investigation of the case is in progress.
