Three persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-PS-17 = 3 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sachin Kumar R/o # 52, Village- Daddu Majra, Chandigarh from near slip road, Sector-38, Chandigarh and recovered 06 gram heroin from his possession on 01.05.2019. A case FIR No. 118 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Deepak Kumar R/o # 270, Sector- 10/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Maruti Car No. CH-01X-3632 while parked in front of his residence on night intervening 25/26.04.2019. A case FIR No. 143, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sumit Kumar R/o # 15/C, Sector- 43/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. PB-27E-5002 while parked near Mata Kali Mandir backside, Punjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh on 03.03.2019. A case FIR No. 75, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sumit Kumar R/o # 15/C, Sector- 43/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. PB-27E-5002 while parked near Mata Kali Mandir backside, Punjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh on 03.03.2019. A case FIR No. 75, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector- 18/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s activa scooter No. CH-01AV-8961 while parked near Nehru Park, Sector- 22, Chandigarh on 03.03.2019. A case FIR No. 75, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sukhbir Singh Rana R/o # 3379, Police Society, Sector- 51, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Mahindra Scorpio Car No. CH-01BR-0565 from market, Sector- 45, Chandigarh on 29.04.2019. A case FIR No. 101, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 119, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashwani Kumar R/o # 60, village- Sarangpur, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Tata Ace No. PB-65AS-8564 namely Rinku R/o village- Kaimbwala, Chandigarh hit to pedestrian complainant near Mehfil Hotel, Sector- 17, Chandigarh on 01.05.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Deterred Public servant

A case FIR No. 102, U/S 353, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI. Jai Kishan, Traffic Staff who alleged that Sanjay Aggarwal R/o # 2232, Sector- 44, Chandigarh, Vijay Aggarwal R/o # 2246, Sector- 44, Chandigarh and Santosh Sharma R/o # 157, Village- Burail, Chandigarh who misbehave, created hindrance in duty, raised slogan against Police Department, obstruct govt. vehicle path and force him not to challan on 01.05.2019. Accused person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress
