Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Leela Dhar R/o # 85, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, Veer Bhan R/o # 1066, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, Shashi Kumar R/o # 54, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Smadhi Yog Mandir, Ph-2, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh on 25.04.2019. Total cash Rs. 1870/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 104, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj Kumar R/o # 1090, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh from near Power House, Kaccha Rasta, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 16 quarters of country made liquor on 25.04.2019. A case FIR No. 133, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 135, U/S 420 IPC & 66-C, 66-D IT Act has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. S.K. Verma R/o # 654, Sector 11-B, Chandigarh against unknown person who withdrawn cash from pension account of complainant on 11.03.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 266, Pippli Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No PB-65AL-1516 from Plot No. 45, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 23.04.2019. A case FIR No. 111, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Trespassing/Assault

A case Fir No. 94, U/s 452, 323, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady namely Malti Devi R/o # 1572, Tin Colony, Sec-52, Chandigarh who alleged that Mahesh, his wife Mrs. Kali, Bohemian, Vishal R/o Sector- 49, Chandigarh and some unknown persons trespassed in her house and all attacked on complainant, her husband with hockey sticks, iron rod and threatened them on 21-04-2019. Complainant and her husband namely Sunil Kumar got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 111, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anil Sarda R/o # 3164, Sector- 27/D, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. CH-03E-6154 sped away after hitting to complainant’s aviator scooter No. CH-04C-4750 near Sector- 40/41 light point, Chandigarh on 18.02.2019. Complainant’s got injured and was admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
