Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 & 19, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 29.03.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Rohit Kumar @ Bablu R/o # 720/3 BDC Sec-26, Chandigarh from near Govt. School, Sector 26, Chandigarh and recovered 36 injections of Buprenorphine & pheniramine drugs from his possession on 29.03.2019. A case FIR No. 71, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Arrested in Robbery case
Kapil Dev Sharma R/o # 353, Village Mauli Jagran Chandigarh reported that while he was returning from Shimla to his home and when he reached near Holly Heart School, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh by foot in the meantime 8 boys came there and robbed away cash Rs. 5500/- on knife point on night intervening 27/28.03.2019. A case FIR No. 53, U/S 395 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later two persons namely Sagar R/o #282, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh aged 18 years and Aftab R/o Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh aged 18 ½ years have been arrested. Five juveniles also apprehended in this case and sent to juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Rajesh Kumar R/o # 3479 Sector-23/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda City car No CH-01BP-5296 while parked near # 3459, Sec-22, Chandigarh on the night intervening 20/21-03-2019. A case FIR No. 89, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Narender Kumar R/o # 2282, Sector-19/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Aviator Scooter No. CH-01AU-0301 from parking of Govt. School, Sec-21, Chandigarh on 28-03-2019. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 89, U/S 279, 337 has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mangat Ram R/o # 672, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown driver of motor cycle No. HR-0—36 was sped away after hitting to complainant (pedestrian) near Sai Mandir, Sector 29, Chandigarh on 13.02.2019. Complainant’s got injured and was admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh and later got treatment from Land Mark Hospital Sector 33, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 107, U/S 279 has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ujjagar Singh R/o # 55, Manav Enclave, Guru Taj Bahadur, Kahara (PB), Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Tata 407 No. HR-37D-4907 namely Pawan Kumar R/o Village-Goal Distt-Unna (HP) hit to complainant’s car No CH-01AF-0240 at Airport light point, Chandigarh on 29.03.2019. Alleged truck driver arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 78, U/S 279, 337 has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bal Govind Tewari R/o # 1491/A, Sector-41, Chandigarhwho alleged that unknown driver of M/Cycle No CH-01AV-5046 sped away after hitting to complainant’s daughter Aditi Tewari (cyclist) in front of her residenceon 28.03.2019. She got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Criminal breach of trust
Avneesh Ravish R/o # 665/A, Sec-31/A, Chandigarh reported that complainant posted advertisement on OLX to rent out his Nikon Camera on 10.03.2019. Later on 28.03.2019 one person namely Sunny @ Prabhjyot contacted complainant and meet him near Japani Garden Sector 31, Chandigarh and taken complainant’s camera on rent for 3 hours by giving his Aadhar car and Rs. 500/-. But alleged person did not returned camera and also switched off his mobile phone. A case FIR No. 106, U/S 406 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
Sandeep Kumar R/o # 2622, Sec-44/C, Chandigarh reported that while he was returning to his home from Sector 26, Chandigarh and when he reached near Laxmi Naryan Mandir, Sector 44, Chandigarh one unknown person snatched his mobile phone and ran away on 29.03.2019. A case FIR No. 79, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Burglary
Jobanpreet Singh, Manager, Gurudwara Shri Dashmesh Sahib, Sector 49, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 1.5 lakh (approximate) from cash box at Gurudwara sahib on night intervening 28/29.03.2019. A case FIR No. 28, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
