One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 28.03.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Yogender Shah R/o Near Khera, Sector-80, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab Permanent address: Village- Rangra, PO- Rangra, Distt.- Bhagalpur, Bihar from near Dental college gate towards road sector- 25/38, Chandigarh and recovered 6 kg Ganja from his possession on 28.03.2019. A case FIR No. 60, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder Singh R/o village- Morthikari, Tehsil- Derabassi, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab from near light point backside Bapu Dham Colony, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered 888 capsules and 2,820 tablets of drugs from his possession on 28.03.2019. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS- 26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu R/o # 678, Village- Burail, Chandigarh from near Taxi Stand, Sector-45, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 08 bottles of country made liquor on 28.03.2019. A case FIR No. 78, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

          Harsh R/o # 243, Daddu Majra Colony, Chandigarh alleged that Deepu and Gaurav both R/o # 2129, Daddu Majra Colony, Chandigarh beaten complainant with iron rod near his residence on 16.02.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 45, U/S 326, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later both accused persons namely Deepu and Gaurav have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 87, U/S 279, 337 has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vivek Chander R/o # 2133, Sector- 38/C, Chandigarhagainst unknown driver of car No. PB-13AC-1766 who hit to complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01BG-3857 near Cricket Stadium Chowk, Chandigarh on 27.03.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Deterred public servant while discharging govt. duty

A case FIR No. 77, U/S 332, 353, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Constable Rajesh Kumar 4874/CP, Traffic staff who alleged that Jitender R/o # 1955, Saini Mohalla, Village- Burail, Chandigarh who hit to complainant with his Swift car No. CH-01AR-0213 while he was stopping him near Sector- 45/46 light point, Chandigarh on 28.03.2019. Jitender has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

Kuldeep Bansal, SK Agencies, 136-140/17, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh alleged that Rahul Rai M/s The Light House, 782/7, Mohalla Gobindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh purchased electrical goods on credit from complainant and other persons worth Rs. 24,00,725/- and issued cheques against the dues payable to them of the bill raised by him. Later he shut down his shop on 01.02.2019 and disappeared without clearing the liability of the complainant and others. A case FIR No. 43, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
