Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 & 19, Chandigarh against two persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 24.03.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Pintu Kumar Shah R/o Guru Nanak Colony, Phase-2, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab from near light point, backside BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered 1 kg Ganja from his possession on 24.03.2019. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady R/o Sector- 29/B, Chandigarh from mango garden near Modella light point, Sector-29, Chandigarh and recovered 117 grams Ganja from his possession on 24.03.2019. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS- Industrial Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for Robbery

          Ishwar Parsad Sharma R/o # 270, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that 03 unknown persons robbed away mobile phone near Railway Crossing, Town, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 23.03.2019. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 392, 34 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS- Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later 02 accused persons namely Ankit R/o # 257, Phase-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh (age-19 yrs) and Imtiaz R/o # 355, Phase-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh (age-18 ½ yrs) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Konark Bansal R/o # 226/18, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away Brass 40 kg (handles), Brass crap 15 kg, Plated handles 250/300 from complainant’s factory Plot No. 914/A, Phase-2, Industrial Area, Chandigarh on night intervening dated 23/24.03.2019. A case FIR No. 103, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 45, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ravi Kumar R/o # 324, Village- Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown person cheated complainant and withdrawn cash Rs. 20,000/- from his account through SBI Atm at village- Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Village- Daria, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 13 years has been missing/abducted from near her residence since 24.03.2019. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS- Indst. Area, Chandigarh.  

Outrage modesty of Women

A case FIR No. 75, U/S 354, 354-A IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady who alleged that Shingara Singh R/o # 1456, Sector-40/C, Chandigarh outrage modesty of complainant. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Sector- 63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01BT-7997 while parked nearher residence on night intervening dated 22/23.03.2019. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 25, U/S 279, 337, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jitender Kumar R/o # 624, Sarv Hitkari Society, Sector-48, Chandigarh against driver of activa scooter No. CH-01BP-2481 namely Ramaya Ram R/o # 6348/A, Sector-56, Chandigarh who hit to Balbir Kumar Pehal (pedestrian) R/o # 1181, Progressive Society, Sector-50, Chandigarh near sector 46/47/48/49 light point, Chandigarh on 24.03.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later he was referred to PGI, Chandigarh where doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Trespassing/Criminal Breach of Trust

A case FIR No. 40, U/S 406, 447, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who alleged that Mohinder Singh took keys of her portion of house No. # 1031, DMC, Chandigarh for getting white wash done and removed his articles from the room. Mohinder Singh fraudulently claimed that he is the landlord and started collecting room rent. He embezzle the 1 year rent amount Rs. 42,000/-.   Investigation of the case is in progress.
