Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS- 3= 1 case, PS-17 = 1 case, PS- 26 = 1 case.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Deterred public servant while discharging govt. duty
A case FIR No. 66, U/S 186, 332, 353 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of HC Karambir Singh 1753/CP, Beat staff, Sector-28, Chandigarh against Rohit Patial, R/o Village- Batran, Tehsil Naduan, Distt.- Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh occupant of I-20 car No. HP-73-9844 who deterred, manhandled with complainant and constable Sonu 6219/CP & also torn uniform of constable Sonu 6219/CP while performing govt. duty at near SCO No. 13, Sector- 28, Chandigarh on 23.03.2019. Rohit Patial (age- 24 yrs) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Missing/Abduction
A person resident of Village-Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 16 years has been missing from his residence since 22.03.2019. A case FIR No. 102, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh.
Dowry
A lady resident of Sector-22/A, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Daddu Majra Colony, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 58, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
Trespassing
A case FIR No. 36, U/S 452, 323 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of D.C Jain R/o # 182, Sector- 19/A, Chandigarh who alleged that Nitesh R/o VPO- Madho Singhana, Distt.- Sirsa, Haryana trespassed in complainant’s house and also quarrel with him. Investigation of the case is in progress.
