One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case FIR No. 48, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 09.03.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Accident

A case FIR No. 85, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the statement of Manoj Kumar Yadav R/o # 394, Village-Kansal, SAS Nagar, Distt. Mohali, (PB) against driver of Swift Dzire car No. HR03U8637 namely Sudesh Kumar R/o # 750, Sec-4, Panchkula, (HR) who hit Splendor M/Cycle No. CH-01BH-1860 driven by complainant’s uncle namely Vinod Kumar near press light point, Chandigarh on 09.03.2019. Motor-Cyclist got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh and expired during treatment. Car driver arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Jagroop R/o # 1949, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from Leisure valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Chander Pal Singh R/o Village Lahori, Tehsil Barot, Distt. Bhagpat (UP) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s XUV 5OO Car No. UP-57X-3472 from near H.No. 710/19, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh on night intervening 7/8-03-2019. A case FIR No. 52, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person on motor cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s purse containing ATM card, Silver Ring, Adhaar Card, DL and cash Rs. 15000/20000 near Sabji Mandi Sector-37/C Chandigarh on 09.03.2019. A case FIR No. 58, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
