One arrested for robbery

           A lady resident of Baltana (PB) reported that one person came to her jewelry shop i.e. Shop No. 1918/A, Main Market, MM, Chandigarh, at about 12:30 PM and asked for seeing gold ring, silver anklets and other jewelry. After seeing the jewelry he tried to run away with jewelry but complainant hold the pouch tightly. Suddenly, he attacked on complainant with sharp weapon and ran away. When complainant shouted loudly public person in market gathered and nabbed the said accused near the spot. Accused namely Rajesh Kumar Sukla R/o # 217, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh age 19 years permanent address:- Village Dadka Mundekha Kala Post office Badgaon, PS Dehat Kotwali, Distt. Gonda UP has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 31, dated 08.03.2019, U/S 397, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Threat

Harmanjeet Singh Sethi, Advocate, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person called on his mobile number and told his name Rahul from information and technology department. Further the said caller threatened and intimidate complainant that he will summon him to Bandra (Mumbai) Court and get complainant arrested also. A case FIR No. 84, U/S 419, 467, 468, 471, 506, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the direction of Hon’ble Court. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Mandeep Singh R/o # 719, first floor, Sector-11, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away one crystal bracelet, three watches, one diamond studded watch, one gold watch, one fancy watch, cash 25,000/- to 30,000/-, perfume bottles, few decorative show pieces, bluetooth speaker and a briefcase from complainant’s residence while they were out of station between 02.03.2019 to 04.03.2019. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Satpal Garg R/o # 232, Sec-7, Panchkula, (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away laptop and cash bag containing documents and keys from complainant’s Toyota car No. CH-01AM-6867 from Grain Market, Sec-26, Chandigarh on 07.03.2019. A case FIR No. 51, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 41, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Sonu Bajaj R/o # 157, Khudda Jassu, Chandigarh against driver of unknown car who sped away after hitting to pedestrian person at dividing road Sector-11/12, Chandigarh on 07.03.2019. Pedestrian person got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh and declared unfit for statement. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Som Nath R/o # 887, Rajiv Colony, Sec-17, Panchkula, (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s E-Rickshaw No. HR-03T-1054 from GMCH-32, Chandigarh on 03.03.2019. A case FIR No. 60, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry Death

A case FIR No. 61, U/S 304B, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Parabawati R/o # 776, Vikash Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh who alleged that her son-in-law Sandeep Yadav s/o Shri Ram and his family members all resident of # 4460, Sector 46, Chandigarh beaten, harassed to complainant’s daughter namely Reeta Kumari for dowry. Due to their harassment her daughter committed suicide on 08.03.2019. Later on Sandeep Yadav and Shri Ram have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
