Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-03= 2 cases, PS-I.T Park= 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Ram Sadal R/o # 178, Village-Attawa, Sector-42, Chandigarh and Mukesh R/o # 141/22, Village-Attawa, Sector-42, Chandigarh while they were gambling park in front of G.K President Hotel, Sector-42, Chandigarh on 07.03.2019. Total cash Rs. 410/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 53, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep R/o # 1433, Sector-52, Chandigarh from near CNG Pump, Sector-44, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 48 quarters of country made liquor in Maruti Zen car No. CH-03D-4091 on 07.03.2019. A case FIR No. 59, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for theft

           A lady resident of Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged that 02 unknown persons stolen away complainant’s 03 purse containing 03 pairs of silver anklets, 01 pair of gold earrings, cash Rs. 700/- from her resident on 07.03.2019. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 380 IPC added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later on accused person namely Sonu R/o # 1810, EWS Colony, Village, Dhanas, Chandigarh (age-33 yrs) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Ankit R/o village-Gignow, Distt.-Bhiwani, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from Leisure valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Sector-39/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Maruti 800 car No. CH-01B-0111 from temporary parking backside mandi, Sector-40, Chandigarh on 06.03.2019. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abetment to suicide

A case FIR No. 30, U/S 498-A, 306 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anil Kumar R/o # 76, New Shivalik Vihar, Naya Gaon, Punjab against Ajay Singh Duggal R/o # 6036, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh, who harassed to complainant’s sister namely Seema who committed suicide at # 6036, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later on accused person namely Ajay Singh Duggal has been arrested in this case.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Trespassing

A case FIR No. 57, U/S 448, 427, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Naveen R/o # 295, IInd floor, Sector-33/A, Chandigarh who alleged that Surinder Kaur, Madhvi Jain, Harjeet Kaur, Meena Sharma, Neelam, Neena, Suman Gaba and Mrs. Rahul Gaba all trespassed at complainant’s resident and threatened him on 07.03.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abducted

A person resident of Burail, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 15 Years has been missing from his residence since 06.03.2019. A case FIR No. 58, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of village-Naya Gaon, Punjab reported that unknown person sped away after snatched away complainant’s mobile phone near PEC light point, Chandigarh on 09.02.2019. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust

A case FIR No. 50, U/S 379, 406, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mohit Singla R/o # 1091, Sector-21, Distt.-Panchkula, Haryana alleged that his worker namely Shahrukh Khan R/o # 1842/B, Small Flats, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh, Sanjay R/o # 136, Phase-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh along with one another namely Tiwari driver of jeep No. HR-68-7354 stolen two sacks of grain (arahar daal) from complainant’s shop No. SCO No.80, Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 07.03.2019. Alleged person namely Shahrukh Khan and Sanjay were caught by the complainant on the spot. Both alleged persons have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
