Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 11 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 11 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 11 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-17= 3 cases, PS-Ind. Area= 6 cases, PS-I.T Park= 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Theft

Narayan R/o # 1691/14, Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from Leisure valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 78, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Kamal Preet Singh R/o # 213, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from Leisure valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 79, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Bharat R/o # 1583, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor motor cycle No. CH-01AJ-7797 while parked in front of his resident on 28.02.2019. A case FIR No. 61, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Lekh Kharvanda R/o # 3428, Sector-27/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s alto car No. CH-03R-7014 while parked in front of his resident on night intervening dated 16/17.12.2018. A case FIR No. 49, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
