            The issue of IAF strike in Pakistan, dominated the proceedings of declamation contests in PU today as participants spoke at K.K. Grover and A.C.Bali Declamation Competition organized by Department of Hindi, today at Gandhi Bhawan. A total of 37 students from various colleges and university departments participated in the event.

             Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Chairperson, Dept. of Hindi, informed that, Professor Nandita Singh, Dean International Students, P.U was the chief guest for the K.K. Grover contest and Professor Baijnath Prasad presided over the session. He also informed that Professor R.K. Singla, Dean Research, PU was the chief guest for the A.C. Bali Contest and Dr Ashok Kumar presided over the session.

            The K.K Grover and A.C. Bali Declamation Contest is an annual event conducted by Department of Hindi and provides an opportunity for students to showcase their oratory skills. It also provides a platform to voice their opinions and ideas on socially relevant and topical issues. In the K.K. Grover Declamation Contest today, Bhumika (UILS) bagged the first position; Neha (Master Tara Singh College, Ludhiana) stood second and Rachna (Hindi dept) took the third position. In the A.C.Bali Declamation Contest; Richa singh(Master Tara Singh College Ludhiana) stood first, Kumar Gautam (UILS) stood second and Rinku kumari ( SCD College, Ludhiana) stood third. The winners will be rewarded in the annual convocation of the Panjab University. The judges for today’s event were esteemed faculty members from Panjab University- Dr. Pankaj Shrivastav from Dept of Philosophy, Dr. Ali Abas from Dept of Urdu, Dr. Vinod Chaudhary from Dept of Sociology, Dr. Namita Gupta from Center for Human Rights and Duties, Dr. Praveen Goyal from UIET and Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti from SCS. The program was anchored by Manjinder and Shakuntala, research scholars from the Department. The program concluded with distribution of certificates and Dr. Gurmeet Singh presented the vote of thanks. Faculty from different departments of PU also attended the function.

The Criminal Justice Practicum Cell (CJPC) of University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University in collaboration with Central Detective Training Institute(BPRD) will be organizing a workshop, on 28th February, 2019 on Crime Scene Management and Analysis at University Institute of Legal Studies(UILS), PU, Chandigarh. It will be organized under the mentorship of Prof. Rattan Singh, Director, UILS and under the guidance of Mrs. Anju Choudhary, Assistant Professor (Law), Coordinator – Criminal Justice Practicum Cell. The workshop is aimed at educating the students with the 
practical knowledge of Law and Evidence relating to Crime Scene. The students will be briefed on the role of Investigation Officer and Forensic team at the Crime Scene. 
Dummy Crime Scenes relating to Rape & Murder, and Bomb Blast will be created by the CDTI Team and the students will experience a first hand procedure followed by the Investigating Agency at the Crime scene. The lecture will be delivered by Sh. L.S. Rana, Deputy Director (Retd), CFSL, Punjab, who is an expert in Forensic Investigation.

Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-03= 1 case, PS-17= 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Vipin R/o # 306, Peepli Wala Town, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Labour Sarai, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 26.02.2019. Total cash Rs. 1,240/- was recovered from him. In this regard, a case FIR No. 42, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later he released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Manoj Singh R/o village-Hatho, Distt.-Jind, Haryana (age-20 yrs) near Kishangarh Chowk, Chandigarh and recovered 13.30 gram Heroin from his possession on 26.02.2019. A case FIR No. 45, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-I.T. Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Amit Kumar R/o Flat No. 602, Tower No. 12, Bollywood Height-1, Peer Mucchalla, Zirakpur, Punjab near Electricity Powerhouse, Kacha Rasta, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh and recovered 10 gram Kokin from his possession on 26.02.2019. A case FIR No. 76, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 45, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-38 West, Chandigarh against driver of unknown vehicle sped away after hitting to complainant’s pedestrian son near Badheri Chowk, Chandigarh on night intervening 25/26.02.2019. Complainant’s son namely Ajay Kumar got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

जहां भारत में मंत्रालयों में उच्चस्तरीय बैठकों के दौर चल रहे हैं की हमारी अगली नीति क्या होगी और हम किस किस मोर्चे पर पाकिस्तान को घेरेंगे, वहीं पाकिस्तान में भी उच्चस्तरीय बैठक हो रही है लेकिन वहाँ पेरोल की तंगी को जूझती वायुसेना की चिंता की जा रही है प्रत्यक्ष युद्ध में अपने को झोंक चुके पाकिस्तान के लिए अब पीछे हटना आसान नहीं होगा, लेकिन पेट्रोल की कमी इस राह में बहुत बड़ा रोड़ा है।

भारत की तरफ से की गई सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक का बदला लेते हुए पाकिस्तना ने बुधवार सुबह भारतीय वायुसीमा में एयर स्ट्राइक की. इसके बाद से स्थिति बेहद गंभीर हो गई है. हालात को देखते हुए गृहमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह नॉर्थ ब्लॉक में एनएसए अजीत डोभाल और रॉ चीफ के साथ हाई लेवल मीटिंग कर रहे हैं. इस मीटिंग में दूसरे बड़े अधिकारी भी मौजूद हैं. वहीं NSA अजीत डोभाल ने प्रधानमंत्र मोदी को हालातों की  जानकारी भी दी है.

एयर स्टाइक के बाद पाकिस्तानी विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता मोहम्मद फैसल ने कहा है कि पाकिस्तानी वायुसेना ने एलओसी के पास एयर स्ट्राइक किया है. इस कार्रवाई का मकसद अपने अधिकारों का प्रदर्शन है. उन्होंने कहा है कि ये आत्मरक्षा में उठाया गया कदम है. मोहम्मद फैसल ने कहा है कि वो तनाव को बढ़ाना नहीं चाहते.

इससे पहले पाकिस्तानी सेना के प्रवक्ता ने कहा था कि पाकिस्तानी वायुसेना ने भारतीय वायुसेना के दो एयरक्राफ्ट मार गिराएं हैं, जो पाकिस्तानी सीमा में घुस आए थे. एक एयरक्राफ्ट पाकिस्तानी कब्जे वाले कश्मीर में गिरा है जबकि दूसरा भारत प्रशासित कश्मीर में. पाकिस्तानी सेना के प्रवक्ता का दावा है कि एक भारतीय वायुसेना के एक पायलट को गिरफ्तार किया गया है.

वहीं बताया ये भी जा रहे है कि भारतीय वायुसेना ने पाकिस्तान के F-16 फाइटर जेट को नौशेरा सेक्टर में मार गिराया है. एक पैराशुट को नीचे उतरते देखा गया है लेकिन उसके पायलट की स्थिति के बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं मिली है

IAF का MIG-21 क्रैश हुआ

मिग अपनी ही सीमा में गिरा है, कारणों का विश्लेषण अभी होना बाकी है।

श्रीनगरः जम्मू कश्मीर के बडगाम में भारतीय वायुसेना का मिग-21 विमान क्रैश हो गया है. इस हादसे की वजह का अभी खुलासा नहीं हुआ है. ऐसी भी खबर है कि यह विमान तकनीकी खराबी के चलते दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हुआ है. घटनास्थल से दो शव मिले है. एसएसपी बडगाम ने मीडिया को बताया, ‘भारतीय वायुसेना की तकनीकी टीम घटनास्थल पर पहुंच रही है, इसके बाद ही पूरी जानकारी मिलेगी, हमें दो शव मिले है.’ इस घटना में दो लोगों की मौत हो गई. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि विमान बडगाम के गारेंद कलां गांव के पास खुले मैदान में सुबह 10 बजकर पांच मिनट पर दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हुआ.

उन्होंने बताया कि विमान दो हिस्सों में टूट गया और उसमें फौरन आग लग गई. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि दोनों मृतकों की पहचान की तत्काल पुष्टि नहीं हो सकी है.

पाकिस्तान ने भारत के हवाई क्षेत्र का किया उल्लंघन, भारतीय जेट ने खदेड़ा
पाकिस्तानी जेट ने बुधवार को जम्मू-कश्मीर के राजौरी जिले के नौशेरा सेक्टर में भारतीय हवाई क्षेत्र का उल्लंघन किया लेकिन भारतीय विमानों ने उन्हें पीछे खदेड़ दिया. एक शीर्ष अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी दी. अधिकारी ने बताया कि बुधवार सुबह नौशेरा सेक्टर में भारतीय हवाई क्षेत्र में जेट घुसे लेकिन उन्हें भारतीय विमानों ने तत्काल उन्हें वापस खदेड़ दिया.

श्रीनगरः भारतीय वायुसेना ने जम्मू कश्मीर के नौशेरा में पाकिस्तानी लडाकू विमान एफ-16 को मार गिराया है. नौशेरा के लाम सेक्टर में भारत ने पाक विमान को निशाना बनाया. जिस विमान को भारत ने उड़ाया है उसमें से पैराशूट से पायलट को नीचे कूदते हुए देखा गया है. इससे पहले खबर आई थी कि पाकिस्तानी जेटों ने भारतीय हवाई क्षेत्र का उल्लंघन किया था. पाक विमानों ने जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर के राजौरी जिले में नौशेरा सेक्टर के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में प्रवेश किया था. भारतीय वायुसेना हाईअलर्ट पर है. वायुसेना को पाकिस्‍तानी हरकत को देखते ही बमबारी करने के आदेश दिए गए हैं.

हालांकि भारतीय वायुसेना की तरफ अभी तक कोई आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं की है. भीमबर गली और लाम में तीन पाकिस्‍तानी जेट ने सीमा क्षेत्र का उल्‍लंघन किया है. हालांकि भारतीय विमानों ने पाकिस्‍तान के विमानों को वापस खदेड़ दिया. उधर, सुरक्षा के लिहाज से श्रीनगर हवाई अड्डे पर आम हवाई सेवाएं रोक दी गई हैं. श्रीनगर एयरपोर्ट से अगले आदेश तक सभी सेवाएं बंद रखने के आदेश जारी किए गए हैं. कमर्शियल विमानों को श्रीनगर से डायवर्ट कर दिया गया है.

अपुष्‍ट खबर है कि घुसपैठ के बाद भागते हुए पाकिस्‍तानी विमानों ने कुछ बम भी गिराए हैं. हालांकि अभी जान-माल के किसी नुकसान की कोई खबर नहीं मिली है. इस बीच गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह की अध्‍यक्षता में एक हाईलेवल बैठक चल रही है, जिसमें एनएसए अजीत डोभाल, गृह सचिव अनिल गौबा, रॉ और आईबी के प्रमुख भी शामिल हैं.

वहीं, पाकिस्‍तानी सेना के प्रवक्‍ता मेजर जनरल आसिफ गफूर ने ट्वीट कर कहा कि ‘MoFA द्वारा जारी आदेश के बाद आज सुबह पाकिस्‍तानी एयरफोर्स हमलों के जवाब में भारतीय वायुसेना के विमानों ने LoC को पार कर लिया. पीएएफ ने पाकिस्तानी हवाई क्षेत्र के अंदर दो भारतीय विमानों को मार गिराया. विमान में से एक पीओके के अंदर गिरा, जबकि दूसरा भारतीय कश्‍मीर क्षेत्र के अंदर गिरा. इसके बाद पीओके में गिरे एक भारतीय विमान के पायलट को हमने गिरफ्तार किया’.

NIA Carries Out Searches in Srinagar in Connection with J&K Terror Funding

​ On 26.02.2019, NIA carried out searches at 07 locations in Srinagar in connection with investigation of J&K Terror Funding case. These included premises belonging to top separatist leaders namely Yasin Malik, Chairman JKLF, Shabbir Shah, President JKDFP, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Chairman Awami Action Committee, Mohammad Ashraf Khan Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat,Masarat Alam, General Secretary APHC, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Chairman JKSM and Naseem Geelani, son of Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani. NIA teams were accompanied by CRPF and Jammu & Kashmir Police personnel.

2.​ During the searches, NIA teams recovered incriminating documents including property papers, financial transactions receipts and bank account details. Electronic devices including laptops, e-tablets, mobile phones, pen drives, communication system and DVRs were also seized during the searches. Significantly, letter heads of different terrorist organisations as well as documents relating to recommendations for visa for admission in Pakistan Educational Institutions were found. A high tech internet communication set up was also recovered from the residence of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
