Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 06 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 06 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 07 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-03= 1 case, PS-11= 2 cases, PS-IT Park= 1 case, PS-49= 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

MV Theft

          Paramjit Singh R/o # 839, B-1, Pinjore, Distt. Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor Motor Cycle No. HR-49B-8422 parked near Nukkar Dhaba, Sector 22, Chandigarh on 02.02.2019. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rash Driving

A case FIR No. 37, U/S 279, 336 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Inspector Shri Parkash, I/C Traffic South-West Zone against unknown driver of Thar Jeep No. PB-65AK-9057 who driven his vehicle rashly and negligently and caused endanger to lives of others near Judicial Academy light point, Sector 43, Chandigarh on 03.02.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

          Navneet Singh R/o # 2118, Sector-79, Mohali (PB) alleged that unknown person occupant of Activa Scooter sped away after snatching his mobile phone at backside Bus Stand, Sector 43, Chandigarh on 29.01.2019. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
