10th Rose Festival at PU

Chandigarh February 1, 2019
        The 10th Panjab University Rose Festival is going to be held from 8th to 10th 
February, 2019.
        Prof. R.C. Paul Rose Garden has been given a facelift for the Festival. The entrance gates have been beautified and hedges have been better designed. More than 3200 Rose plants of 155 varieties are adorning the garden. 200 nos. new plants have been added this year. Certain varieties will have different colours of flowers blossoming in the same plant will add to the beauty of the garden.
        The three day mega event will be inaugurated by Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice 
Chancellor, Panjab University on 08.02.2019 at 2:00 pm at Prof. R.C. Paul Rose Garden, Panjab University. 

On the first day, the following competitions will be held:-

        Entries for Flower Competition will be accepted upto 07.02.2019 till 5:00 p.m. 
at Rose Festival Secretariat, Single Window Enquiry, Near Post Office, Panjab 
University, Sector-14, Chandigarh and on 08.02.2019 till 10:00 a.m. at Prof. R.C. Paul 
Rose Garden, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
         Entries for photography competition will be accepted upto 05.02.2019 till 
5:00 p.m. and all other competitions will be accepted upto 06.02.2019 till 5:00 p.m. 
        The form for booking of stalls at the Panjab University Rose Festival can also 
be downloaded from the website.
        There has been a huge rush of participants for participating in various 
competitions of the Panjab University Rose Festival and more than 200 entries have 
been received till date.
