One arrested under NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Abhishek R/o # 1803, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh from near Poultry Farm Chowk to Ramdarbar road near Power House, Chandigarh and recovered 10 gram Heroin from his possession on 29.01.2019. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Mandeep Singh R/o Village-Kotla Bijwara, Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib, (PB) from near light point, Daddu Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 12 boxes of country made liquor on 29.01.2019. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Theft

        A case FIR No. 15, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Kamaljit R/o # 3484, Sector-15, Chandigarh who alleged that Govind Goswami R/o # 440 Vill-Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh age 18 years was caught red handed while stealing complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH03R5876 while parked near his house on night intervening 28/29.01.2019. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Ramesh Puri R/o # 3188, first floor, Sector-27/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Maruti Zen car No. HP51 7171 while parked near his residence on the night intervening on 28/29.01.2019. A case FIR No. 22, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Vicky R/o # 537, Village-Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Mobile Phone from complainant’s house on 27.01.2019. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rajinder Shrivastav R/o # 1776, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Mobile Phone from tent outside complainant’s house on the night intervening 15/16-01-2019. A case FIR No. 41, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to Murder

        Narinder Kumar R/o # 247, Adarsh Colony, A-Block, Balongi, Distt. Mohali (PB) alleged that Lovely Sharma R/o # 920 LIC Colony Mundi Kharar, Ward No. 12, Mohali, (PB) attacked on complainant’s brother namely Naresh Kumar with stick near Kissan Bhawan Chowk, Chandigarh on 28.01.2019. He got injured admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 307 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
