Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 06 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 06 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 06 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11= 2 cases, PS-17 = 2 cases, PS-Mauli Jagran= 1 case, PS-36= 1 case. 

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested with 30 injections of drugs

Chandigarh Police arrested Mukesh R/o # 2029/A, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh near Hostel Gate Guru Nanak Public School, Sector-36, Chandigarh and recovered 30 injections of Buprenorphine & Pheniramine Meleate drugs from his possession on 30-12-2018. A case FIR No. 456, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sarmesh Beniwal R/o # 30, Asha Nagar, Shiv Puri Colony, Yamuna Nagar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No HR-02AG-4034 parked near # 1464 Sector-22/B, Chandigarh on the night intervening 17/18-12-2018. A case FIR No. 399, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Amir Khan R/o # 1165 Village-Burail, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01BJ-2064 from parking of Japanese Garden, Sector-31, Chandigarh on 24.12.2018. A case FIR No. 451, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Amit Sharma R/o # 2230/A, Block No. 12, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB-10CX-3780 while parked in front of his house between 23.12.2018 to 30.12.2018. A case FIR No. 225, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Ram Lal Jindal R/o # 1195, Sector-42/B Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 2 laptops, jewelry box, piggy bank and some cash from his residence between 22-12-2018 to 30-12-2018. A case FIR No. 455, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

        Raj Ali R/o # 86/2, Village Daddu Majra, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons occupant of M/Cycle sped away after snatching his mobile phone at main road near gate of water works residential area, Village Daddu Majra, Chandigarh on 29.12.2018. A case FIR No. 247, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
